C4
Envelopes are
also known as Cover 4 envelopes. The name is not an abbreviated form
of the shorter name but it comes from the general classification of
naming the different sizes of paper stationery. C4 envelopes will fit
an A4 paper without having to fold. It measures approximately 32.4 cm
in length and 22.9 cm in height. These envelopes can also fit A3
paper with a single fold.
A4
paper is the most common size used in offices and are extensively
used to in producing letterheads, brochures, contracts and memos etc,
almost all formal correspondence is achieved using A4 paper.
The
C4 envelope is not just used for A4 sized documents but also many
other sorts of irregularly sized documents used for official purpose.
