Hud, The Verdict, Road to Perdition, Cool Hand Luke. I enjoyed Hud and Cool Hand Luke as a mere teenager but must admit I have had little news on Paul Newman until this recent sad news.
Paul Newman lives with his wife Joanna Woodward in America ... she is an actress and they have been an active voice together in the film business for years.
I enjoyed that traditional style of acting as a girl and I am sure it had a great deal of influence upon my teaching in London as I was handed out news that I was to teach Film, Media Drama, Theatre and English Language and Literature ... a tall order but one nevertheless I wholly embraced in the 1980s as a full time teacher in full time employment. Much these days is made of Employment and I heard a statistic mentioned on BBC Radio which was that about 38 per cent of the population in the United Kingdom is Unemployed ... perhaps I should return to my teaching programme and restart FILM!!
