The story develops in England, in a non far future. Evey Hammond is a young lady who has a normal life. But one night she seems herself trapped by three policemen who try to wrape her. Suddenly, a strange man, completely dressed in black saves her, killing the policemen. He introduces himself as V. With some fear, but attracted by his words, Evey goes with her saver to a terrace and sees the destruction of the Old Bailey building, which is the most famous Hall of the Crown Tribunal in the United Kingdom, listening also the Tchaikovsky''s Oberture 1812, which represents the Russian victory in the napoleonic wars. From this moment, V is known by the population, because he tries to destroy the facist government, trying also to get the people to fight with him. The government tries to cheat the population, telling that the building''s demolition was planned. But V takes the government''s TV network BTN (British Television Network), to tell the entire country his message, asking them to follow him the fifth of november, the day when he''ll destroy the parlament. This date is reminded as the night of the stakes, when, 400 years ago, Guy Fawkes, english conspirator, was arrested and confessed he tried to blow up the Parlament as a protest to finish the religious persecutions. After that, he was executed. V hides behind Guy Fawke''s mask to make his campaign. Meanwhile, his relationship with Evey transforms, and surprises both of them. Characterized by Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman.
