When Fiona's father and the King of Far Far Away dies, the clumsy Shrek becomes the immediate descendant of the throne. However, Shrek decides to find the rightful heir Artie in a far off kingdom with his friends Donkey and Puss in Boots to be able return to his beloved house in the swamp with the pregnant Fiona. Meanwhile, the jealous and determined Prince Charming joins the villains of the fairy tales plotting a rebellion to become the new king and to rule the kingdom. Fiona and the other princesses show their true inner beauty and fighting styles as they kick butt, along with everyone else, in this film. I would say this book is as clever as the other two films but it did not make me laugh as much as I did in the first film.
