Om Shaanti Om
Om shaanti om. The title is very revealing. It’s as if the constant repetition of these holy words have helped bring good luck to the film. And bad luck to the audience. On second thoughts it isn’t that bad….infact this film provides some rather entertaining time pass.
The film essentially deals with the concept of reincarnation yet like all Farah Khan movies it’s loaded with candy floss. Snazzy outfits, jazzy dance steps and some foot tapping music all contribute greatly towards making this movie worth a watch. Deepika Padukone and her flawless complexion also make a debut in this film and without a doubt, the girl has talent. Shahrukh Khan on the other hand, has to work hard, just so that he doesn’t look too jaded. Arjun Ramphal is the surprise element as the villain and methinks he ought to have begun his career only by accepting villainous roles!
In all here’s a film that has some funny dialogues excellently delivered and Shreyas Talpade and Kiron Kher are without a doubt, an asset to any film, they choose to be a part of. So go ahead and watch this movie, you have my blessings…….om shaanti om!!
