Yes, you read correctly. I just gave a movie 5 stars. And for those who actually read my reviews, you should know that this is a rarity. In fact, it is so rare of a rarity, I don't remember the last time I gave 5 stars to any movie.
F. Scott Fitzgerald, to me, is like Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. Both authors come up with the most innovative stories, full of hidden symbols and wit, and are both entertaining and thought-provoking. Such is the case with 'Button'. Except, 'Button' isn't even the short story; it's the movie.
If you think my 5 star rating is a rarity; well, my liking a movie-based-on-a-written-piece-of-work better than the written piece of work itself is even rarer. Hell, it might even be completely non-existent. But here you are: 5 stars on a movie-based-on-a-written-piece-of-work. Miracles do happen. Enough said.
