'He's Just Not That Into You' makes single ladies everywhere ask themselves -
"Are you the exception... or are you the rule?"
The movie follows the love-lives of several ladies and gents in the Baltimore area, who are all somehow connected. Each of them journey through trials and tribulations regarding the opposite sex. Secret Affairs. Ruined Marriages. Dates. Rejection. Mixed Signals. No More Sex. And that question we all want answering.. Why Hasn't He Called? The main feature of the film tends to focuss on typical player Alex, who believes there is a no-fail system in the way men think and act, whilst filling in Gigi on the rules, an unexpected romance blossoms.
Here we have a typical all round Chick flick. According to my man sources, it's not one for the guys. It is a very laid back and light hearted film where you don't really need to think about what's going on. Whilst sitting in the cinema watching this film with my friends, all I could hear around me were girls cringing and saying "Oh my god thats soo like me!" or "My ex was just like that." There are definitely plenty of stereotypes to relate to, and so a good opportunity to have a giggle, while you reminisce on all the crazy things you've done to try and find that perfect someone. Whist there are a number of Bridget-Jones-esque moments for comedy value, there are also a few tear-jerking moments to give a good balance. It features an amazing cast including Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck. Although I did enjoy watching this as a one off, for me its not one I could watch time after time and I'd say it drags a little bit towards the end. I would definitely recommend giving it a go, as long as you're willing to take it for what it is - a typical chick flick, and don't expect too much else!
