Volver is a story of women and of courage. Two sisters, who had lost both parents in a fire many years before, go back to their home town for their aunt’s funeral and return to Madrid with what appears to be a ghost. A beautiful story about suffering and the eternal solidarity between women.
HIGHLIGHTS: Penelope Cruz plays her part beautifully, probably her best work to date. Carmen Maura’s much awaited return to Almodovar’s films. Estrella Morente’s beautiful song: VOLVER.
