Hey guys, I recently saw the "October Sky"... Lovely movie. I rate it as a must watch.
Basically this is a story about Homer Hickam who is a rocket scientist and 3 of his friends.They live in a small town of Coalwood where every parent wants that his son goes into the coal business. Homer's father is the head of this coal mine and expects his younger son Homer to continue his legacy. But Homer after the launch of Sputnik wants to launch a rocket for himself. He befriends a school geek and starts planning to build a rocket. Ms Riley , a teacher helps and supports them. After many unsuccessful attempts they are finally able to design one. Everything changes when Homer and his friends get arrested on the charge of forest fire due to one of their rockets. Simultaneously Homer's father meets with an accident which makes Homer work for some days in the coal mine.But Ms. Riley again inspires him to do what he wants. Back to his passion. Homer succeeds in designing a good rocket.His participation in the National Science Fair gets him the 1st prize !! and scholarship to college.....
