The Film "A Single Man" is based on the novel written by Christopher Isherwood. It takes place in the 1960s and Firth plays "George" a Gay Professor who is devastated by the tragic death of his longterm partner .. the loose ends are a focus in the last day theme where George (Firth) the Gay Professor sets about sorting all the loose ends out.
