This is similar to Twilight Zone or Night Gallery. Short stories with a quirk thrown in. Since Steven Spielberg is involved, you can imagine the quality.
My three favorite shows are The Main Attraction, Dorothy and Ben,and The Sitter.
The Main Attraction is about a narcissistic jock type. He's a bully and thinks he's God's gift to Earth. Then a comet hits his room and he's now very magnetic. As in metal is attracted to him. Since the viewer has no sympathy with him, his adventures with metal attraction in school is truly hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. This actor has a real gift for comedy!
The Sitter is about two rowdy boys that are very hard on the sitters. The first one is sent to the hospital. After that, their mother has a real problem with finding another one. The word is out. She finally gets Jennifer.
Jennifer is a large black woman who is more than a match for the boys. Whatever they try to do to her tends to backfire on them, sometimes drastically. It's very funny.
Dorothy and Ben is completely different. Ben was in a coma for 40 years. He finally wakes up. He wanders the hospital and sees a little girl in a coma. Her parents are shocked and horrified when he comes in and talks to her as if she's answering.
They demand he leave. He tells them personal things, things there's no way he could know. They start to believe him. He keeps talking to Dorothy, but it takes a new twist. She sees two friendly strangers in her mind. Ben tells her not to go with them, but she really wants to.
The actor playing Ben did such a fantastic job. I had tears running down my face as he tried to convince Dorothy not to go with them It was such a tearjerker episode. He was a truly gifted actor.
