You Again is a comedy film,it's full of funny situations that the characters go through.
Marni, a young woman, goes back home in order to attend her brother's wedding.She's happy and excited for him as the whole family is untill she discovers who the bride is.Whole of her frustrating past as a teenager in Ridgefield High School comes back to her the moment she discovers the bride's nIckname,Jay Jay.Marni was very miserable in high school,and the reason for her unhappiness was her brother's future wife.
Marni was a total "geek",with whole the "typical" look,big glasses and braces,and Jay Jay who was a popular,beautiful and mean cheerleader made fun of her and abused her.When Marni meets Jay Jay after she hopes not to see her ever again she discovers to her surprise that Jay Jay doesn't remember her at all.Marni can't forget the cause of her hating high school and the reason of her much suffering.Therefore she tries to make Jay Jay to admit in front of her brother how much mean she was.
During the whole movie the two of them confront each other far from Will's (the groom and the brother) eyes.Both of the young women adore and truly love Will and want him to be happy,but Marni doesn't believe that her brother can be happy with a woman as mean as she believes Jay Jay is.
Marni tries to expose Joanna's true face and make James realize that she didn't change in spite of all her efforts to make people believe that now she's a different person than what she used to be.
On the other hand Marni doesn't want her brother to hate her for seperating him from the woman he's in love with.
The film is entertaining but also with a hidden message.
