Hachi:A Dog's Tale

Movie Review   by:shakira19

Dogs are smart but there feelings are more domninant than their urge to survive.
Dogs can't be explained why in some circumstances they have to be seperated from their owner, and even when the seperation is for a short term they sink into depression.Dogs don't analyze death the way human beings do either, you can't conform them by telling them that death is part of life and that every day we live in this world just make our meeting again with the ones we love closer.Dogs probably won't feel happy ever again after losing their owners, they'll just keep waiting for them forever.
This film is based on a true story of an An Akita dog.a Japanese race of dogs. The true story occured in Japan in the 20's-30's of the 20's century, while the film takes place in Usa.For those who don't know, this race of dogs is considered to be a royal one and they're best known for their incredible loyalty.
The film is about an extraordinary relationship between Hachiko,an Akita dog,and a college music professor,Parker Wilson (Richard Gere).Parker finds an Akita puppy in a train station and after he sees that nobody is willing to take him home he decides to take him to his house untill finding him a loving family.Parker's wife,Cate (Joan Allen),puts pressure on her husband to give away the puppy but after a term during which Parker was triying to find a good caring owner for the little puppy his wife agrees to keep the puppy. When Cate sees the special bond between her husband and the puppy she understands how much they care about each other and decides to keep the puppy in their house.

During the film the viewer sees the unique characteristics of Akia dogs and can't help himself from being moved by this special kind of creature.
Everyhing is great in this family's life but Hachiko knows that their some invisible problem that nobody realizes of it existance.Hachiko starts to accompany Parker to the train station every morning and to meet him near the station in the evenings.Parker is very excited and glad by his unique friend and everyone around who sees this dog is very amazed by him.One day Hachiko refuses to accompany Parker to the train station, and Parker is a little bit disappapointed by not being able to figure out what's the problem.
I don't want to ruin you the end, that's why I'll just stop at this point, hoping you'll enjoy this film as much as I did.

Thank you for reading -.-
