The film begins by showing a study of a meteorologist named Jack Hall.
In
this study, Jack provides the earth through a new ice age, only that
the scientist had never thought that this prediction was realized as
fast. A violent rise in global temperature has changed the whole face of the planet.
Jack''s
prediction for a few years, happened then causing many disasters,
spreading terror in all corners of the Earth (great floods, snowstorms,
tornadoes violent and cold temperatures as never before witnessed.
Jack
had a mission to convince as soon as possible, President of the United
States, the impending tragedy, to try to save the millions of people who
were in danger.
The
son of Jack (Sam) had traveled to New York with some colleagues to do
some tests but there also reached temperatures below zero so that they
would be unable to leave. Took
refuge in a museum and to survive were burning all the books found in
the library to protect themselves from freezing temperatures.
With much effort managed to call Sam''s father (Jack) and put it together with all the events. Jack came out with two companions decided to go save her son Jack. Following road transport broke down, the three began to walk and continued the difficult task. During the walk they faced many vicissitudes because of the horrible weather, eventually losing to death one of his colleagues.
After the big blow, continued the dangerous race against time to save Sam. Jack
had another unexpected colleague who accompanied him could not resist
and ended up falling, not being a loser and not desperate, Jack helped
his colleague carried him to a safe place to wait for improvement.
When
the colleague continued to improve travel and eventually found the
museum where the son of Jack and his colleagues were hiding.
After
much difficulty managed to find his son Jack and his colleagues, sought
help from U.S. President and he immediately sent rescue them.
Thousands of people died, but many people still managed to survive.
At
the end of the film, hundreds of people on top of buildings asking for
help, managed to survive the great tragedy that befell the land.
Although
science fiction, The Day After Tomorrow, "gives rise to great thoughts
about how we are treating our planet. What will happen if we do not
spend to care for him with wisdom and dedication!
Interestingly,
with only a movie, cinema of Hollywood is getting across to millions of
people who are not climate change "science fiction", but reality with
unpredictable consequences which could be (and terrible) to humanity.
