A psychological thriller movie of Bangla (Bengali) genre.

This movie is based on story of a serial killer and a police officer who was excused from his services because of his attitude towards work. However, he is consulted on various cases, specially difficult one, often. The search for the killer begins and slowly a lot of things were bought to light.

Director and writer Srijit Mukherji has kept this movie at a good pace and it has not left any character behind for long. Mr. Mukherji has tried to pass quite a few social messages too through this movie. He tried to emphasize the need of maturity, understandability and capability of baring responsibility that we need to have, for a better tomorrow. One line that impressed me was:
ভাত আর বির্য়ানীর মোধে অন্তর করতে শেখো l প্রথমটা হোলো necessity, পরেরটা luxury!
(Understand the difference between rice and biryani, first one is a necessity the other is a luxury.)

Prosenjit Chatterjee played the role of the police officer, Prabir Roy Chowdhury. He has proven himself as one of the best actors in the past, however it seems he has blended in well with the character. His bold statements and matured acting makes his presence felt on the screen. One might argue on the characters of Parambrata and Raima and question on their importance in the movie however, they were needed to show the characteristics of different generations or like minded people. By doing this I believe Mr. Mukherji has drawn a picture where everyone can see themselves in the canvas.

All in all, it's a movie worth watching.

Enjoy!
