The Simpson's has been on television now for nearly 18 years and I must say I don't know why they haven't made a movie before or indeed after this one. The movies plot is; Thanks to Lisa Simpson, Lake Springfield is cleaned up from the pollution that once fouled it. But when Homer, who's adopted a pig (Spider-pig) and dumps a silo full of the pig's crap in the lake, the EPA places a large dome over Springfield, and the Simpsons family manage to escape through a sinkhole. The family flees to a better life in Alaska, but when the head of the EPA, Russ Cargill, orders the towns destruction, it's up to Homer to save Springfield! I think this is a great movie as it is comical and quirky yet educational as it portrays what really needs to be done to achieve better family life. The picture quality of the movie is excellent especially if played from a Blu-Ray disk. I think the many plot lines of this particular movie is excellent as they all fall back on and encourage the main plot story. In the end of the story, Marge and Homer ride off into the sunset with two lines of trees, kissing each other. The movie is not referenced in any other episode etc. Thanks for reading my review !
