The Grey

Movie Review   by:Spidy2312

Review : Very good intense thriller. Especially if you like survivalist movies

Director : Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin' Aces)

Cast : Liam Neeson (Schindler's List, Taken), Frank Grillo (Warrior) Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friends Wedding)

Story : A group of crude oil workers in Alaska are on their way home when their plane crashes. Now its up to the 8 survivors to face off again the harsh winter and a pack of wolves. Who will survive in this battle of Man against Nature.

Review : I am a big fan of survivalist movies. I am also a big fan of Liam Neeson especially after movies like Taken, A Team, Unknown etc. So when the two were combined in one movie I had very high expectations... and I wasn't disappointed.

The movie is very gripping. The situation is scary and the performances, the settings are very good. The sporadic sightings of the wolves at the start really makes you worry for the characters. The good thing is no one is an out and out hero who can face up to entire pack of wolves or outwit them. The movies tries to stay quite genuine as to how a group can survive in the harshest of conditions with minimal things.

It is a bleak film and has some genuinely scary moment. So not meant for everyone. However if anyone wants to watch a good thrilling movie they should go for it.
