In the beginning, i would say most people doubted that another Spider Man, with a different Peter Parker would be worthwhile in watching. I was one of the "non-belivers" until i went to go watch the movie.
The movie started out with a surprisingly comedic tone that happily stayed there throughout the film. I watched anxiously at Andrew Garfield trying to compare him to previous Spider Man, Toby McGuire, but in truth they can't be compared. Andrew is a more funny and less emotional Spider Man. I mean who wants to watch a Spider Man that spends half the movie in tears?
Overall the movie did everything a good Marvel movie should. The fighting scenes were B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L and well filmed. The movie took todays technology and made it so that every moment felt real and at points i thought i was actually being attacked by a hug lizard man.
The story line was similar to the original Spider Man movie, but focused on the comic series more. Emma Stone stepped up to play Peter's love interest and was over-all very good at it beside the fact that i found myself distracted thinking "Hey! it's that girl from House Bunny!" but that is not her fault.
The movie was sometimes awkward in silence but those moments were rare. The music was well done and made me want to run a marathon.
Over all a very good job done by Marvel and Warner Brothers. I enjoyed the movie and was not unhappy spending the money to see it, which i usually am.
I would recommend everyone go see it!
