Rating : I bow down to Christopher Nolan. An epic conclusion to an epic movie series
Director: Christopher Nolan
Cast : Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy (Bane), Michael Cane, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard ... (Yes they all play a very important role in the movie)
Story : Its been 8 years since Harvey Dent's death. Batman has taken the fall for Dent and is a wanted criminal. Bruce Wayne is a broken man and hasn't left his mansion in 8 years until the Catwoman compels him out. Meanwhile the terrorist Bane is pursuing his agenda of destroying Gotham and Batman. In this finale Batman will be pushed to his limits and broken completely. Does he rise again?
Review: The finale of the The Dark Knight trilogy and what an ending it is. Christopher Nolan makes sure there are no loose ends, ties all the 3 movies together beautifully, dives deeps into the psyche of characters the way only he can all the while maintaining an epic scale and story arc.For a movie of this scale the attention to details in the story is absolutely amazing. The tension that is created, the cheers for Batman when enters for the first time, every single moment of the movie keeps you gripped. The first half takes it time in building up the characters but once Bane's plan begins to take fruit you just cant take your eyes off the screen
The acting from everyone is fabulous. Christian Bale is excellent as the emotionally broken and physically weak Bruce Wayne who must rise once again as Batman. Anne Hathaway as deadly but playful Catwoman is fun. Bane's brutal raw power and plan leave you nervous, Michael Cane makes you feel for his character of Alfred. Joseph Gordon Levitt as the rookie cop who still believes in Batman is very good and so are the others like Lucius Fox, Commissioner Gordon, Miranda Tate.
The soundtrack is terrific, the action hard hitting, the destruction of Gotham is chilling.
Overall i think one of the best movie series ever and probably THE BEST superhero movie series ever.
