There is nothing more I could say about this movie but one word: Trippy.
I'm not sure if it's a movie that's so bad, it's actually good; or it actually is good, but it's so crazy, that you wouldn't even understand exactly what to feel about the movie.
Let's start with the story. It's a typical western movie, when you really break all of its complexities down: a strange cowboy passes through a town with two warring clans, a damsel in distress, and we obviously know the strange cowboy decides to become the hero and chooses the good (but I shouldn't tell which side he chooses, no spoilers here!)
What makes it crazy though, is how random the situations happen. Surprising stuff comes up here and there, you don't even understand why they are in the movie.
Another thing that's crazy about the movie is the dialogue. You will need subtitles for this movie, or risk getting a migraine trying to understand what they're saying. It's in English, sure, but it's being spoken by pure Japanese actors; they have a very Japanese accent, and you'd likely keep on asking yourself "What the heck did he say?!"
You might also find the art direction of this movie to be a little too crazy. They used very contrasting, warm colors-- for the regular movie watcher, it may not be your cup of tea.
The costumes, acting, humor, and action was crazy good, though. Watch out for that skinny dude slice someone's head in almost a split second, a gun-slinging grandma, and Quentin Tarantino (if this guy's not out making crazy-good movies, he acts in one!) .
Still, a must-watch despite all that crazy.
