Al Mott, who is a former minister of the Ms Senior America started to organise a beauty pageant for women over 60 in Las Vegas, United States. But, there were a lot of pessimistic ideas, wihch nobody wanted to be Ms Senior America or it would be ruin if over 60 women wear suimsuits. However, the things changed after three decades. Now a great number of funs come to see senior women whose ages are up to 66 years old.
The reason he put the age up to 66 or so was that all seniors had to dance on stage for seven minutes without break. They have to handle 100 shows a year. The dance is quite complicating and they haveto do difficult steps. It usually takes three years to get to know everything. One of the dancers is already 73, who realised that it was time to quit for her to dance. She could not deal with dancing. Moreover, other women broke both her arms when she fell onstage.
The competition is quite tough when the judges have to select ten finals through interviews. One of the competitors has experienced to entertainer in 50s, appeared in Ed Sullivan show. Mott recognised that those women who were talented had to give up their career for their family. That is why he gives them oppotunities to be back to onstage. These women are energetic in pageant, but when Helen who is one of them commented a lot of flowers after pageant reminded her of her funeral.
