This guide will show you how to beat lock using the Hercules mp3 E2...
My first controller was Hercules mp3 E2... I found it to be extremely good value for money and actually quite good. However, there were some minor set backs, such as beat match, loop divide, better scratching, feel etc. This product didn't have much sense of value... it was good for transporting, however, it only weighed around 0.5kg which made it feel cheap. I bought mine for around £95 (which included Virtual DJ)...
Anyway, How to beat match:
Cue any song with roughly the same tempo, (10% either side). Then simply hit sync which is located on the middle left hand side on the A deck and middle right hand side on the B deck. This will lock the two tempo's together in order to not seem so awkward while fading between decks. With Virtual DJ Pro you can simply review the beat grid and life is very straight foward, however, with the standard version there is no beat grid provided. you can do two things:
1.) In time with the music tempo hit play on any of the beats.
2.) If the song you are about to cue has an off-beat beat then play and match the beats with the jog wheel. (Make sure that scratch is turned off). The negative of this is that you lose the intro of the song.
I hope that helped,
Any questions please ask...
Thanks...
