The headline reads: HUMP LIMPS HOME and refers to the outcome and results of the Eurovision Song Contest which is disappointing for Britain and then the writer refers to the losers and apparently Hump was second
from last and I heard on the Radio that he scored 12 points. The write up was intriguing to read after the
Eurovision Song Contest is over as follows
Our Eng makes a a decent job of it but the fact that he is performing first out of 26 means you would be unwise to
stake your life savings on a UK win .. that that is a better excuse than the one we normally use

With the popular winner Sweden as No 1 and so on its like an Abba repeat where we hae lived with the
mega stars Abba (my generation!) for years some of my students say however back to Hump! at 76 it is quite an
achievement to enter such a teeny bopper team and most of the competitors were well under 7O never mind Hump is over 7O but apparently he is stilll a popular singer world wide.
Hump and his ballad LOVE WILL SET YOU FREE ended 2nd from the bottom ........ a bit like being at the back of the class I guess ........... highly entertaining I feel sure!
Extraordinary to consider that this Eurovision has been going on for decades so I suppose the old adage
that to compete is what its all about and winning is just the icing on the case and it seems that the whole
emphasis is to win but should countries drop out I believe that some of the fun would be taken out of the
competition and afterall its about Entertainment it seems rather than first class music as that seems
to be more suitable to the Opera Stars and not so much to do with POP! Hard work pays UP!
