It seems like a few short days when Nicki Minaj burst onto the scene with SUPER BASS. oh wait that was like last year.... For most people that was Nicki Minaj's starting point, but in reality she started a long time ago with her mix-tapes. I will be looking at three of her accomplishments, "Beam Me Up Scotty" one of her mix-tapes, "Pink Friday" and "Roman Reloaded" her two CDs to date.
BEAM ME UP SCOTTY
Nicki started out as a fresh New York rapper, who was without gimmick. Her songs were without a doubt, plain and sometimes predictable. However the tape got a lot of attention and soon she would catch the attention of Lil Wayne.
PINK FRIDAY
Whats to say about this album except awesome super fun time. The album has a range of songs from rough like in "Roman's Revenge" to soft in "Save Me" where Nicki trys her hand at singing. The album also had her hit song Super Bass, which made her who she is today.
PINK FRIDAY ROMAN RELOADED
The album was off to a shaky start with her performance of "Roman Holiday" at the Grammys. Perhaps to out there for most, although i loved it. Then her song Starships seemed to save the day for her. The album was very diverse with a lot of singing on her part, a great follow up to an epic album. She did it again here.
In conclusion, it has been a short time and some huge sucess for Nicki Minaj who went from features in almost every song to having all her songs on the radio.
