When the track 'Hands across the world' was released end of 2010 by R-kelly, many people, including I, thought it was the r n b sensation's newest hit. IActually it was. What with the production and all! But the song had just been produced by R-Kelly for  Amani from Kenya, Nigerian R&B singer 2Face, Zambian singer JK, Ugandan hip-hop star Navio, Tanzanian bongo superstar Alikiba, Ghanaian hip-hop trio 4X4, singer Fally Ipupa, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Gabonese rapper Movaizhaleine, the Octet that form ONE8!

The group's mission is to share their music with the global audience, for in as much as all those artists who make up ONE8 are big news in their respective countries, they are virtually unknown on a global scale and teaming up with R-Kelly, who is an international superstar is sure to accord them the necessary exposure to break through.

In a month, a debut album is expected from the group and judging from how hot 'Hands across the world' single was, Rockstar 4000, a pan-african label affiliated to Sony Records tasked with the album production is sure to deliver fireworks!

Go ONE8. Africa is behind you. VIVA AFRICA.
