I went to the Shelton Theater in San Francisco with my friend to watch this musical. My husband thought it would be more of a girl musical so he didn't want to come along. The theater is a couple blocks away from the Powell BART station. The theater is small and this musical is up close and personal.
The musical was only an hour and a half so there is no intermission. If you need to use the bathroom, it's better to go before the musical. There were guys in the audience but it was mostly women. The musical was entertaining overall. Some of the types of shopping where okay and other types you can relate to. There is no story line so don't expect one.
There's home shopping or people checking out that are so obnoxious (have you ever been behind one of these types?) or guys shopping with their wives. I'm sure the husbands feel the same that they only get in and out while their wives take a lot longer. I tend to do this but since I have a year and half old son, I need to get in and out of the store before he gets cranky. The audience was laughing throughout the musical.
I think there are some more showings so if you want to have a good laugh, go watch the musical. It's a nice musical to watch with your girlfriends.
