"Repo! The Genetic Opera" Summary and Review

Movie Review   by:KorineGravely

A growing epidemic of organ failures in the near future and one company called GeneCo comes to the rescue. The twisted tales are narrated by a graverobber(TerranceZdunich) who is a street zyhdrate dealer. Rotti (Paul Sorvino), the owner of GeneCo, has to chose an heir out of his three awful children; Luigi, Amber Sweet (Paris Hilton), and Pavi. Shilo (Alexa Vega) is looking for a cure to her genetic blood disease. The multiple tragedies in a tangle of lies comes unraveled when Nathan Wallace (Anthony Head) is the Repo man who you don't want a visit from, hides his repo life from Shilo, his daughter. But most what Nathan doesn't realize is that it wasn't his fault his wife Marni (Sarah Power) died. Shilo gets messages from Rotti and meets him, and Blind Mag(Sarah Brightman) who is her idol. As the tales unfold Shilo finds out a lot of facts she'd never have expected. All these stories will be resolved and surprises will be revealed, tonight at the Opera!

These stories are not only complemented by a wonderfully grim soundtrack, but the perfect casting. The symbolic darkness and how real this future could be makes this opera-rock-horror a cult classic. This production came from the brilliant minds of Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich. I loved it so much I watched it twice, and I rarely love movies that much..
