This book is pretty good because it shortens down the story into the main speaking scenes and gives stage directions to assist as well as having someone be Charles Dickens as a narrator for the story. The book has information boxes at the bottom to help with the stage directions and also definitions of some of the more complicated words and 19th century phrases. It is pretty short and ideal for school productions (we performed it as part of our English-Literature-Drama sessions, learning the scripts and acting out different scenes). The scenes have 3 – 8 characters in except in the final scene involving group lines which are said in unison.
