Borderlands is a first person shooter (FTP) where your on another planet called Pandora looking for a 'Vault' which contains 'Treasures'. The graphics of the game look as though they are based on a cartoon/comic giving the game a unique look.
Gamerplay: 7/10
Borderlands has 4 characters which you can choose from with different techniques and playing styles for each of them. Once chosen, your character is given a series of quests that s/he can go about and complete. This is a free roam game so, you can do what ever you want in between and during missions. The in-game HUD is easy to read and doesn't get in the way while playing. After doing a few quests, it can feel a bit repetitive, but each quest usually presents a challenge.
Multiplayer: 5/10
Mutliplayer is a Co-op single player, making Borderlands not have as much playability, but it is always fun to play with others. There's little to no lag when it comes to mutliplayer which is always a plus when it comes to playing online.
Playability: 6.5/10
Borderlands is the game you can play for hours, especially with the multiplayer sometimes; but once you've completed it, there's not too much you can do. The achievements (on PC) are the same pretty much: kill 50 XXXX, kill150 XXXX, etc.
Extras
There's no real extras or hidden bits on this game, unlike skulls in halo, or dog tags in metal gear.
Overall:
I give this game 7/10, it's a really fun game that can get you hooked, but it's not the sort of game you'd play over and over again once it's completed.
