For the tenth episode of The Glee Project, the theme is Actability and the homework song is “Addicted To Love” by Robert Palmer.
Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray on Glee, is the guest mentor for this week. Before the group sings, Robert J. Ulrich tells them that Agron will hold up a card for each of them that will have an emotion on the card. The contestant must sing in that emotion when Agron holds up the card. Agron chooses Michael as the winner.
The group number is “Perfect” by Pink. The contestants learn that they will be making a movie trailer. The concept is a coming of age story of high school students in a small town. Each contestant is given a role to play. They are told that there will be no choreography but that they should focus on their character because the video director Erik White will ask them to improvise scenes during the shoot.
Instead of three last chance performances, all five contestants will sing in front of Ryan Murphy and the rest of the Glee writing team. Lily will sing “Son of a Preacher Man” by Dusty Springfield, Michael will sing “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, Ali will sing “Here’s To Us” by Halestorm. Blake will sing “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John and Aylin will sing “Fighter” by Christina Aguilera.
After the contestants perform, the writers debate whether they want to look for a star or if they want to cast a new type of character altogether. They also try to decide if they want to eliminate just one contestant or several.
When the Call Back list is posted, Michael and Lliy find themselves on the Not Called Back list, leaving Blake, Ali and Aylin to fight in the finale for the seven spot episodes on Glee.
