In the present study, insitu formation of asymmetric membrane capsule with osmogens was envisaged upon to overcome some of
the sideffects caused by ketoprofen and to achieve controlled release. Asymmetric membrane inside hard gelatin capsule was formed by precipitation method using fabricated capsule holders. Membrane characterization by SEM showed a dense outer region with no pores and an internal porous region. XRD showed no drug-excipient incompatibility.the study was optimized using 32 factorial design. the in vitro studies carried out was shown to be closely related to the extra design check point and the best formulation and the drug release from the capsular system was pH independent. The release kinetics followed zero order kinetics.
