Hi, no drugs any more to control your BP! A gadget will do. Yes, it is now true. Scientists have developed a device that
helps open up blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
RESPERATE, approved by the US FDSA, uses musical cues to alter breathing. The Doctors at British Hypertension Society watched with keen interest the clinical trial results. The gadget picks up breathing rate of a patient through sensor worn on a belt around the chest. Once the patient’s resting breathing rate has been worked out, the device can create an individual programme to guide it, on an overage 18 breaths a minutes to 10 which then bring down the BP down to a safe level of 120/80.
Research shows that by making breathing slower and deeper more oxygen is taken in the lungs and muscles surrounding blood vessels. Blood pressure reduces when the muscles relax.
