File sharing on internet is something that was developed to make things easier for people but today the same thing is being
used in the wrong way.Piracy is what being done.Everyone must have heard of P2P softwares like napster, ares, etc.Talking with respect to technology, this are some great software for
transfering data from one place to another but what is being done now is transfering of files to people who are not authorised to use that paticular file or software. Not only softwares but video and audio files are also being transferes. There are ways to check software piracy to an extent by the concept of serial key but what abt the video and audio files?
Not only this, with years, many other technology have come up for file transfering from one PC to another within no time. One of these is FTP. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. All a person need to do is download some software from the internet from some website(there are many of such
websites) and make a PC a server and he can easily access that computer from anywhere in the world.Infact, not only he but anyone having proper address of that computer(ie the IP address) can access that computer.
Now a days many websites have come up which allows a user to upload any kind of file(may that be a text file or software or video or anything) and any person can easily download it from anywhere provided he has the link to that file. These websites cannot be termed illegal because there is no role of the webserver in piracy.
There are a many other techniques from which a person can easily transer files but for these are the major concern because by these huge volume of date can be transfered easily.Today the software, audio and video industries are stuggling very much just because of piracy.
