truing and dressing trace of the diamond dressing roller was deduced and analyzed, which verified the influences of the truing and dressing and grinding process parameters on the surface
Roughness of the ground workpiece. This paper proposed the regression equation that reflects the qualitative
relation between roughness Ra and grinding process parameters by orthogonal regression technique, and deduced the model expression: Ra = 2.34×V(?)/-0.45×Vω/0.08×aρ/0.15 This paper measured the relation of the dressing velocity ratio ρ, feed rate q and the surface roughness while investigating the relation of curvature radius ρ and dressing velocity ratio fd on one point. Finally some reasonable truing and dressing parameters and grinding process parameters were proposed. On the basis of experiments, an analysis from theory and practice is made to reveal fundamental relationship in the results which can be used to forecast or restrict the surface roughness of workpieces.
