The surface blistering and flaking erosion of amorphous alloys Fe77B16Si5Cr2 and Ni78B14Si8 under high-dose He+ bombardment,
and helium depth profiles in materials were reported.H+ ions were implanted with energy ranging between 80 and 120keV to a dose of 1.0-4.0 x 1018He / cm2.With increasing total dose, the densities and diameters of blisters increased, and then blister caps ruptured and exfoliated. Except the critical dose, blistering behaviour was found to be similar for different amorphous alloys. The surface flaked after higher dose rate He+ irradiation. Some regions like island were not flaked and remained on the surface. Both remnant surface and flaked surface blistered with helium ions implanted continually. But the diameters of blisters on the flaked surfaCe were much less than that on the remnant surface. When the surface deformation was blisters, helium depth profile was a single Gaussian distribution measured by proton elastic scattering method, its peak position agreed with the mean projected range from theoretical calculation. When the surface deformation was flaking, helium depth profile had two peaks, the first peak position was Rp-d, where Rp the mean projected range, and d the thickness of flaking.
