Electromagnetic confinement and shaping of molten metals is a novel mouldless technique and has aroused much attention as
an important branch of electromagnetic processing of materials. Because there is no contact between mould and liquid metals, no contamination occurs during melting and solidification , the technique is considered to be suitable for melting pure metals, superalloy, titanium alloys and other alloys with active elements and small or medium size and manufacturing their parts with complex cross section. In this paper, some factors are analyzed which influence the process of dual frequency electromagnetic shaping for parts with variable cross section feeding. The results indicate that factors which influence the process of dual frequency electromagnetic shaping for parts with Variable cross section feeding are melt height , magnetic flux density on melt surface and surface tension of liquid metal .In order to ensure the stability ,they must settle for the determinding relations . The configure of screen and shaping coil ,space of two coils and drawing speed play an important role on stability in dual frequency electromagnetic shaping for parts with variable cross section feeding.
