Principles for obtaining cube texture after secondary
recrystallization in silicon iron alloy is reviewed.Based on the mechanism
of deformation and
recrystallization texture formation,the obtainment of cube “nuclei" in secondary recrystallization and texture of (hko)<001> primary recrystallization is discussed.Segregation of impurities or precipitation of second phase on grain boundaries will lead to quite different influence on the mobility of the grain boundaries,for which are constructed between two grains with various orientations,so the importance of
obtaining a suitable orientation of primary recrystallization texture is discussed.Due to the reason that the surface energy of(100) will be decreased,and the growth of cube grains impelld during ultimate annealing after the absorption of impurity atoms,the significance of atmosphere for ultimate annealing is exponded.These principles can be used as guidelines to determine the cold rolling passes,deformation reduction of cold rolling for each rolling process,temperature at intermediate & ultimate annealing and annealing atmosphere for obtaining sharp cube texture.
