The
paper presents defects and damages of the 50m steel truss tower for
telecommunications, as well as planned
method of fixing them. Number of errors,
caused during designing,
manufacturing and operation of the object, has been
pointed out. Drawing from professional skills of authors of this type of
constructions, the subject case has been referred mainly to engineering problems
arising during a process of designing, erection and maintenance of small
telecommunication towers. Considering a large number of objects of this kind
erected in Poland during past ten years, which relates to the fast development
of wireless communication, problems that has been indicated could be considered
typical.
