Termiteburgers, Earthwormburgers, Anyone?

Twelve
Billion people in the year 2050. And what to feed them?
That figure mentioned above is more than double the current figure. Food scientists are in a quandary about what to do as they begin to study some of the food
alternatives available.
One of the criteria in selecting the
Alternative food is the abundance of it. Secondly, this alternative must also be rich in nutrients. Thirdly, this alternative must be inexpensive yet health-giving.
After years of exhaustive research, some food researchers have come up with two promising protein-rich food alternatives—the earthworms and the lowly termites.
These alternatives are almost unlimited source of mineral and protein. They abound mostly in tropical soil. With the ballooning cost of conventional foods like beef, pork, chicken, and dairy products, to mention a few, many would perhaps welcome the inexpensive alternatives.
