Recently, after trade liberalisation and opening of market forces to operate independently and capalism overiding socialism.Individuals have started processing facilities all over the country. The products which they are mostly producing are the soaps, detergents and other cosmestics.
However, few small factories using simple technologies have commenced experiments in biodiesel processing and have succeeded to produce small quantities.Since SMEs do lack appropriate technology and capital investment in R & D,and investment capital in jatropha cultivation farms.Land in Tanzania is not an issue is abundantly available and fertile to grow jatropha.Investors have not seen this opportunity in Tanzania.
