Genes

          Genes are the things that determine physical characteristics and other traits related to physical characteristics in an organism. genes carry these traits from generation to generation. 
            Each human cell carries 25000 to 35000 genes.Genes are lined up on other things called chromasomes.There are thousands of genes in one chromosome. Chomosomes come up in pairs.Both chromosomes and genes are made of an organic compound called DNA.
            Chromosomes are found in fundamental building block of an organism called cell. In a human cell ther are 23 pairs of chrosomes.23 from mother and 23 from mother.
             Each gene carries information for making some kind of protein. Each gene can make 10 different kinds of proteins approximately.Genes also come in pairs. Each parent of you have two copies of each gene. One copy is passed to next generation. So gene carries the information that make the offspring.
              Genes are the cause of gene related diseases like heamophelia and partly resposible for some cancers.
