Human brain is much more powerful than the biggest supercomputer in the world. After all the created cannot supersede the
creator. With its 80 trillion neurons with nerve connections represented by a number ( one followed by 15 million zeroes ) it can work wonders. It is common knowledge that brain has telepathic powers. You can influence others without physical contact and know what is happening thousands of miles away. If a dear son meets with a fatal accident thousands of kilometers away his deeply attached mother may feel something has happened to him.
Clairvoyance is an altogether different power. There are people who can read without seeing. If a book is opened behind a curtain, someone standing on the others side reads from it. Everyone may not be able to actuate the potential power of the brain. There are seers’ who sit for solutions to pressing problems in sound proof rooms with subdued light. Te problems requiring solution is put to him. After understating it in depth he seek solution by concentrating. And in many cases solutions are revealed which are jotted down in a paper kept alongside the seer.
Hypnotism is an altogether amazing feat of the brain. If a suggestion is given in the hypnotic sleep that he will bleed from the right nose when he awakes that will happen. If the instructor had given another suggestion that it will stop immediately thereafter it stop too. Brain simply caries out what has been ordered to it
subconscious mind. There are the ‘fire-walkers’ and those sages who can live without food or water for months and years. The brain makes the foot cells immune to fire momentarily. And in the latter case it keeps the body metabolism going without any damage. This miracle switchboard has
supernatural powers. Take the case of a patient suffering from, say, paralysis who believes that she will be cured if she goes and prays to a particular saint in a far a way church. Her beliefs sinks to the subconscious levels and it becomes an absolute faith. When she does go there and prays the cure is effected. Her brain has done the trick. This could be true of any nervous healing taking place during a charismatic prayer. An atmosphere of ‘supernaturalism ‘ is created with all the noise, loud praises of god and the thunderous music. With the so-called testimonies and accounts of witnesses belief is being created and when it turns into an absolute faith, the brain effects the cure. In both the above cases the belief in a deity or god has helped to create the necessary faith. This is also the case when a believer feels ‘ my prayers are answered ‘ In all such incidents of ‘favors being received with the intervention of ……’ this is what is happening. First there is an intense desire and then a conviction that my saint or god will help me and then finally the faith thus produced make the miracle. It is all a handiwork of one’s own brain. There is nothing extraneous. No supernatural power or nature is interested in man. And nothing comes from above Your own brain which is miraculous brings about any cure or a stupendous success or a big failure.
