There are only a few societies which still cling on to the discard, absolutely proven wrong communism. Wherever
it has guided the destiny of the people they were dragged down. Nations like the USSR. East Germany, east European countries, Cuba et all have become backward. But still there are a few pockets where its leaders dream of a socialist revolution and promise the ushering of an utopian dreamland. The sad paradox is that they do not understand the inherent flaws in the
philosophy and the universal failure of the experiment everywhere.
These leaders still holding aloft the banner under the old, vomited out faces of Lenin, Stalin, Fidel Castro and the like. Russia as everyone knows was trounced economically and it became one of the poorest nations in the world. So also al the others mentioned. Having realized the folly the people an the leaders the have embraced capitalism and free market economy and are now flourishing.
China has always steered its own brand with no linking to the others. It has embraced the cultural past and promoted the study of ancient glorious thinkers. Confucianism is a well promoted university subject there> Further, they have refurbished and renovated the old Buddhist statues and pagodas. The clever leaders know the pulse of the people and their innate links to the past. The Chinese leadership conquered/annexed neighboring lands as they were ruled by past, rulers of China. Chinese communism has amalgamated itself with the Chinese psyche.
Further, they have embraced capitalism and free market economy and steered the nation’s economic development. China in the true sense cannot be branded
communist any more.
That could be the reason it is still going strong strong.
But the Indian communist are still bewitched by the ‘October revolution’ of Russia and the obsolete concepts of Lenin and Marx which have been proven wrong many times over. Further there is no attempt made to identify themselves with the nations psyche. It has made no attempt to delve into the ancient culture nor project the glorious past of this nation. They have never tried to cultivate a love to the nation. Even in foreign policy matters the Indian communist party have taken prejudiced stands. If a ‘comrade’ nation was involved, the party’s stand would almost definitely be in its favor and against the motherlands. Even during war times the party’s bias was very obvious.
It is prove beyond doubt that the dictatorship of the proletariat will destroy any society.
Even in India, Kerala and West Bengal where communism has ruled for years went backward. The high level literacy was a offshoot of the effort of rulers of the past and it has nothing to do with this renegade philosophy. It has made he workers lazy, and militant, clamoring for their rights, right and rights and more wages and benefits and least interested in production . Lockouts, agitations and strikes have chased away the industrialists. Without the remittances of those employed abroad, Kerala would have been already been a state of beggars.
Then why do these leaders here clamor for ushering in the communist revolution? Social equality as been much better in any developed country than in communist one .It is common knowledge that the ordinary Russian were queuing up from a piece of bread when the Polit bureau members had all the conceivable luxury.
Inequality is a law of nature. It is impossible to make all the same. The best way is to reduce the poverty and misery of the downtrodden. This is possible only when there is economic and industrial progress. Only capitalist philosophy and free market principles alone can ensure the same. Hence is it not time that these leaders to pack their baggage and wind up their regressive efforts?
