Choosing the
required quantity of the essential food items,
dieting, is required for the body. Thoughts are the food of the mind. Controlling one’s thoughts –keeping the desirable and avoiding the harmful ones is
mental dieting. It is important to keep in the mind the thoughts that will lead us to success.
Remember anything a person can do any other person can learn to do. The outcome should be clear first.
What is it that you want? Do you intensely desire it? Believe that you are achieving the same. Feel, hear and see clearly the effects of this in your mental eye. Suppose you want to be a great speaker. Visualize yourself facing audiences. See yourself facing the audience and speaking to them confidently. Hear your sound through the micro phone with modulation and with different pitches. Note the way they admire you after your speech. Feel it. Gradually you will believe you are a great public speaker. Those who
succeed in any
filed convince themselves that they are succeeding in their field.
Mental dieting is a process by which you remove unwanted and negative thoughts like
doubts, anxiety, worry etc. from your mind and cultivating positive expectations and positive beliefs. Any thoughts that you keep in your mind take roots. Even a decision takes about 6 weeks to get registered into your mind. Hence, keep the goals before your mental eye all the time at least for this time period.
If you are positive and believing, it will be easier to make your mind believe it, and then the transmutation is much easier.

It is good to keep in mind the common traits of all successful people. They canalize their mind’s energy into one filed. They are able to grasp new ideas and concepts fast and influence others. They are all able to speak forcefully and clearly.
Remember these principles too when you try mental dieting: There is no failure but feed back. Everything happens for the good. To succeed, you need not know everything. Just know everything about one thing. Cultivate a belief that you will succeed.
