2007 has been a good year for the National Institute of Research-Development in Tourism, Bucharest (NIRDT). Besides the typical activities of an institution which works in research, it is worth mentioning NIRDT''s participation to several tourism fairs, among which the Research Fair 2007 Bucharest and the Bacău Regional Research Fair 2007.
Concerning the Research Fair 2007 in Bucharest, it took place between 2-6.10.2007 at the Romexpo Exposition complex, with the National Scientific Research Authority as its patron. Among the most important participants was also NIRDT, with an elegant stand, decorated in the colours of the institute''s logo. It was represented by Alina Cristina Niculescu, research assistant and after the visits of other exposers, a large number of important contacts was established in view of possible collaborations in the future; at this same event, our institute was also rewarded with a diploma offered by the Education, Research and Youth Ministry and the National Scientific Research Authority. The Bacău Regional Research Fair 2007 could be visited in the Athletics Hall in Bacău, organised by the National Scientific Research Authority, in view of valorizing research studies, products, technologies, inventions and innovations, scientific papers, technical books and others.
Between 15 - 19 November 2007, the exposition''s target-public was mainly the economic environment in the NE Region 1. NIRDT was noticed for what it presented in the fair (posters, flyers, dossiers containing the presentation of the institute''s activity, video presentations concerning tourism themes), the aim of this participation being that of creating business contacts with possible collaborators and presenting the NIRDT''s activity to the visitors, the contact persons being Alina Cristina Niculescu and Mioara Pavel. Also, the most important information about NIRDT has been included in the catalogue of the exposition, our institute receiving an excellence diploma from the Bacău Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Department for taking part to this event.
