Man is going to be there for sure. The sun has another 3 billion years and the
earth is going to go round it
for as long as it has already done.
But our life will be totally different. Just see how man lived 1000 years ago!. No automobile, no electricity. No radio. No television. No printing. Life was so rustic. something like that of the Australian aborigines? Or still worse? Very few survived infancy. Disease of all sorts haunted him. Epidemics obliterated entire human societies. There was no fuel or fuel machine. Life was so very difficult.
Later, man has invented all machines and automobiles and he has been devouring the fuel resources at the rate of millions of barrels a day. The gas emissions have been heating up this planet.
There is going to be a green house effect? Some studies predict that temperature would have risen by 15degrees Celsius by then. The sea level would have risen more than 11 meters! Most of the seaside cities of today would be under water. More than two thirds of Bangladesh would be sea! Millions would have been displaced and the available land would be overpopulated? (O, but the birth rate is reaching almost the replacement fertility now and later it ill sink down. Hence it may not be that big a problem, let us hope.)
Further, there will be no fossil fuel left.. At the present rate of pumping up the entire thing would have been over long before 3000!. Thus the green house effect may not be that severe as being predicted now.
The
energy sources will be totally different. Solar energy will be the most suitable one for tapping. It is abundant and everlasting. As long as the sun is there, this source is infinite in consideration to man’s needs. Homes would be using solar panels for energy needs. Automobiles and aircrafts will tap their power requirement from the abundant resources.
Wind power is another source plentily available. Already there are wind farms. It will be the second most used power source And the third could be the tidal energy. Bt the tapping of this source now looks more tedious. Bit what is not possible for the supercomputer brain of man? We can only speculate.
And let us go on speculating…. There is going to be a revolution in travel.
Earth would be too small for the speed of 3000. Man’s vehicles would be taking him around in no time and he will look to space travel more and more. There will be frequent interplanetary travels and he will set yup colonies in moon and the space for short or long sojourns.
The Earth Moon system could become an archipelago of habitats with automated installations located in the geosynchronous orbit. Naturally, all the essential energy requirement would be met from the sun’s rays. As part of the earth-moon industrialization, even cables will be run from the moon. Man will set up artificial colonies there and in the other nearby planets. Mars looks to be an ideal candidate. Beyond that well, it is very difficult to predict anything with our present scientific background.
