What are seeds? Seed is the first stage in the growth of many
plants. Some plants form seeds in order to make new plants.
A seedling lives
inside every seed and a seed coat protects the young plant that is inside the seed and most of the inside of the seed are a stored food which the plant uses for them to grow. There are so many ways for the seeds to sprout in the soil. The seeds are scattered and spread when birds and other animals eat the fruits, these seeds are later dropped onto the ground very far from where it came from. Some seeds float away on the wind and they grow on where they land. Some seeds were carried away by water to new places. Seeds may vary in appearance, colors and sizes but they all need water to grow. Seeds will begin to grow into a new plant when we water them. When the seed Germinates, a small plant will break out of the seed. As it begins to grow, roots will grow from it, then it will form a stem and will soon have leaves. Soon the seeds will come to look like the
plants that they came from.
