Well, the Shvoong community may be wanting to know who this Varghese is. My story—it is all the simple annals of the poor. Darky, short, ugly, hungry, emaciated, you can coin any adjective like that to describe me while I was a child. I had gone through how the
poor suffer Later, a good community fed me and I grew more horizontal than vertical. I was 75 kgs with 162 cms when I was 19!. Well, I had to study Latin, Syriac, Malayalam, English apart from the religious subjects and etiquette. I studied, philosophy, Hinduism and religions in the major seminary.. May be you can say I graduated in these subjects. It was not all mugging up. I read a
number of books including many of the ‘forbidden books’ in the
seminary – a section usually unapproachable to the aspirants. I wrote my fist book--if you can all like that , beacuse it was waste basket stuff--when I was 19 and it got buried in its rightful place. . When I was 20, I went out of the seminary as I could believe no more all that was taught there. I was all alone again. And my poor parents, who had so much hope to see me as a priest, were terribly disappointed. I found shelter in a small thatched house and I started to hunt for private tuitions. A few wealthy people did help and I completed civil
engineering degree taking tuitions and scholarships. But I was a highly anxious person and I decided to be healthy and
control my life. Hence I read a number of books on health and well-being and in personal achievement. I taught for some time in a college and later worked as an engineering manager in a number of countries. Reading was kept kindled up always and I took a post graduation In Human Resource management. I have taken a number of seminars and trained people of all walks of life in India and abroad in soft skills. A few TV channels have relayed my talks/interviews too. I have written 10 books in my native language and five in English. Well the native language
ones are very well read –they are on how to succeed in life; they are being reprinted. The English ones are the following : Sharpen your memory, Develop Your IQ, Your Destiny, Control your thoughts, Better your life. Some of these books are self published and others by a Chennai Publisher, Sura Books. I normally write only what I believe and try to live up to what I say. You are all welcome to share your views with me after reading my articles 447 or so, so far—all of them are my own write ups- not strictly abstracts.
