: WORRY-THE SILENT KILLER :
WORRY is thinking turned toxic. It is a jarring music that goes
round and round but never reaches a climax or conclusion. When we worry, it is like gong over the same ground aimlessly and coming to the same place from where we started. A pessimistic attitude towards life is the mother of worry and it
affects one in every sphere of life.
The modern
age is often described as the age of
anxiety and worry. People worry for the past, the present and the future. With increasing workload, responsibilities and duties larger number of people are becoming the innocent victims of this nefarious monster.
The
cases of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia and obsessive compulsive disorder are rising by leaps and bounds, so are the cases of hypertension and back pain. Research reveals that worry can invite deadly disease including diabetes, blood pressure, heart problems and even cancer. Worry affects brain activity. Worry can be describes as a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged. It cuts the channel through which the thought are drained.
We should shun our baseless worries, our false fears and rely on our strength to overcome the obstacles. Worry has never solved a problem nor will it do so in future.
