If you ask me what is this life, what is this world, where is the whole thing moving to? Well, I do believe that
our earth will cease its existence as planet once our sun nears its death. It could be that the whole earth would evaporate and go as the sun expands or it may get hurled into space devoid of the life giving energy from the sun. Either way, there will be no more life here. There will be no more earth or sun as we know them.
There will not be a Milky Way, there may not be a universe as we know it. But thinking about the end of the universe, nay the end of the sun and all are not worth reflecting about. They are billions of years away. Our life lasts just a hundred odd years. We would be gone long back without a trace whatsoever.
Even the time scale is so much enormous we feel the weight of it as we reflect. Time hangs heavily around. Whatever be the intellectual power we carry, as our time is just a flicker of a second, we are very humble beings without any significance whatsoever. Even if science finds a way to slow ageing, man will never be able to overcome death. Extending his life for a few hundred years will not make a any difference we are just infinitesimal energy bubbles.
